St. Andrews TeenSpot Celebrates National Read a New Book Month
All Month Long.
In honor of National Read a New Book Month, teens can write down a title of a great book that they have read. When you recommend you get a treat.





SAT 101 @ STA TeenSpot
Saturday, December 1 at 4:00pm
Hands on training class demonstrating Test preparation and practice by using The Learning Express Library research database.  Class limited to 7 students between the ages of 12-17





 St. Andrews TeenSpot Presents “A Thousand Words” Ages 12-17
Monday, December 3 at 4 pm
A Marine travels to Louisiana after serving three tours in Iraq and searches for the unknown woman he believes was his good luck charm during the war. Rated PG-13; 101 mins. Refreshments will be provided.











St. Andrews TeenSpot Holiday Theater Presents “This Christmas” Ages 12-17
Monday, December 10 at 4 pm
A Christmastime drama centered around the Whitfield family's first holiday together in four years. Rated PG-13; 117 mins. Refreshments will be provided










St. Andrews TeenSpot Wired Wednesdays/ Teen Ambassador’s Meeting Ages 12-17
Wednesday, December 12 at 4pm
Come on in and have fun with technology set aside for teen use. We have laptops for surfing or homework and also videos games such as Wii and Playstation 2. Also come discuss plans and ideas for events at the library.

Monday, December 17 at 4 pm
The lives of several couples and singles in New York intertwine over the course of New Year's Eve.  Rated PG-13; 118 mins Refreshments will be provided










 

St. Andrews TeenSpot Wired Wednesdays/ Make It Take It Craft Ages 12-17
Wednesday, December 19 at 4pm
Come on in and have fun with technology set aside for teen use. We have laptop for surfing or homework and also videos games such as Wii and Playstation 2. Also create a cool take craft in time for the holiday.

COMPUTER CLASSES

Introduction to Computers -Unravel the mystery of the computer as you learn the parts of the computer, the difference between hardware and software, what an operating system is, and how files are stored. Practice using the mouse and keyboard, too! No previous computer experience expected.
Monday, December 3 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.Registration begins 11/26
Using the Mouse and Keyboard -The mouse and keyboard are your computer’s communication tools. Learn how to click, double-click, click and drag, and scroll with the mouse. Then practice typing and editing text, numbers, and symbols with the keyboard. No previous computer experience expected.
Monday, December 10 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.Registration begins 12/3
Working with Windows -Come explore the typical menus, toolbars, and dialog boxes you’ll see when working with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010. Learn how to resize windows, open files, and make selections from the toolbars. Experience using the mouse and keyboard is expected.
Monday, December 17 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.Registration begins 12/10
File Storage and Organization -Discover how to save and organize your computer files more efficiently. Learn how to rename files, move and copy files, create folders to save files by subject, and delete unwanted files. Experience using the mouse and keyboard is expected.
Monday, December 31 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.Registration begins 12/22
