Afterschool Cool: Green Thumbs (ages 4-11)
Tuesday, December 15 at 4 p.m.
Learn about nature, and make something cool with the Tri-County Clemson Master Gardeners.




PLAY: Polar Express Party
Saturday, December 19 at 10:30 a.m.
Wear your pjs, get your golden ticket and enjoy refreshments as the library celebrates the season with a special viewing of The Polar Express. Rated PG; 100 minutes. Enjoy crafts and activities based on the movie, and meet Santa.





Countdown to Noon!
Wednesday, December 31 at 11 a.m.
For the little ones who may not make it to the New Year’s Eve ball drop. Make noisemakers and party hats, play games and celebrate the “Noon Year!”

In honor of National Book Blitz Month, teens will have a chance to vote for their favorite between two books each week. Those that chose the winning book will be entered into a weekly drawing for prizes.

Dive into the World Wide Web with Internet Explorer. Learn how to find a web site, navigate through web pages, evaluate web sites and use the Search and Favorites tools. Completion of the Computer Fundamentals series, or related experience, needed.

Unravel the mystery of how a computer works, the difference between hardware and software and how files are stored. Practice using the mouse and keyboard, too. No previous computer experience needed.

Using the Mouse and Keyboard
The mouse and keyboard are your computer’s communication tools. Learn how to click, click and drag, double-click and scroll with the mouse. Practice typing and editing text, numbers and symbols with the keyboard. No previous computer experience needed.

Working with Windows
Explore the typical menus, toolbars and dialog boxes for Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010. Learn how to resize windows, open files and make selections from the toolbars. Experience using the mouse and keyboard needed.
