Game On! Reading Contest: 2016 Young Adult Summer Reading

Game On! Reading Contest
Summer Reading for students entering grades 6-12
June 1 - July 31, 2016



This summer, read something - a book, magazine, newspaper, graphic novel, website ... anything ... and win some great prizes. Stop by any CCPL branch, fill out a Summer Reading entry form, and tell us what you've read. To make it even easier, use the link above to enter online starting June 1.
 Once registered, you will automatically be entered in the weekly prize drawings.

The more you read, the more chances you have to win.

McDonald's just for entering.

Download a copy of the entry form, and return it to any branch.

Are you doing a summer reading program for school or another organization? 
Bring us your completed reading logs, and we will reward you, too!


Weekly Prize Drawings
Winners will receive prizes including gift cards for iTunes, movie theaters and book stores, and free passes to Whirlin' Waters, Splash Island and Splash Zone. 

Read 500 pages (Don't worry, we'll keep track for you.)
Earn a Get in the Game T-shirt, a free McDonald's value meal, one ticket to a special RiverDogs game and entry into the grand prize drawing at your local CCPL branch.

Grand Prize Drawings (read 500+ pages to qualify)
Each participating CCPL branch will hold a grand prize drawing at the end of the summer. Prizes vary by location (minimum $50 value).

Game On! Survey
Stop by any participating branch, fill out a survey and get a sweet treat. For students entering grades 6-12 only. Surveys will be displayed in the library through August 1, 2016.

For students entering grades 6-12

June 1 - August 10, 2014

This summer, read something - a book, magazine, newspaper, text message, graphic novel: ANYTHING!!! Then stop by any branch of the Charleston County  Public Library. Fill out an entry form and drop it in the prize box or enter online beginning June 1st. You will automatically be entered in that bi-weekly drawings. 


You will win FREE fries or ice cream from McDonald's for just entering!

Monday, June 3 at 2:00pm
As the Civil War continues to rage, America's president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield and as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate the slaves. Rated PG-13; 150 mins. Refreshments will be provided.

Tuesdays June 4, 11, 18, and 25 ALL DAY
