Internet Basics
Monday, October 1 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Dive into the World Wide Web with Internet Explorer! Learn how to find a website, navigate through web pages, evaluate web sites, and use the Search and Favorites tools. Completion of the Computer Fundamentals series (or previous experience) is expected. Registration begins 9/24; Call 805-6885.

Internet: Beyond the Basics
Monday, October 8 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Practice using Google and evaluating search results. Learn some advanced search strategies and how to effectively interact with websites. Take a look at some social networking sites including blogs, Facebook, and YouTube. Completion of Internet Basics (or previous experience) is expected. Registration begins 10/1; Call 805-6885.

Email Essentials
Monday, October 15 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Learn how to send, receive, reply, and forward email messages with a Yahoo training account. Practice opening and saving attachments, organizing messages into folders, and creating a contact list. Completion of Internet Basics (or previous experience) is expected. Registration begins 10/8; Call 805-6885.
  
Computer Maintenance Tips
Monday, October 22 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Want to learn how to handle virus threats, suspicious emails, and out-of-date programs? Not sure how to control your computer’s settings? Come take a look at some helpful tips and websites for maintaining a happy computer. Completion of Internet Basics (or previous experience) is expected. Registration begins 10/15; Call 805-6885.

Are you ready to buy a new computer, but you’re not sure where to start?  With so many makes, models, and specifications out there, it can be overwhelming!  We’ll break it down for you as we discuss various types of computers, how to identify your price point, and which questions you should ask. Demonstration only. No registration required.
