Game On! Reading Contest

Summer Reading for students entering grades 6-12

June 1 - July 31, 2016

This summer, read something - a book, magazine, newspaper, graphic novel, website ... anything ... and win some great prizes. Stop by any CCPL branch, fill out a Summer Reading entry form, and tell us what you've read. To make it even easier, use the link above to enter online starting June 1.

Once registered, you will automatically be entered in the weekly prize drawings.

Summer School Spirit (ages 12-17)

Throughout June

Students earn one point for their school for each book they read. The school with the most points by July 31 wins. For details, contact Patrice Smith at 843-766-2546.

Summer DYI- Athletic Coaster (ages 12-17)

Wednesday, June 15 at 4 p.m.

Show your team spirit while creating your own coaster. Registration required.

A Celebration of Life, Literacy and Legacy (All Ages)

Tuesday, June 21 at 4 p.m.

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Cynthia Graham Hurd. Sisters and brothers of the late Cynthia Graham Hurd present books they have donated to those in attendance to carry on her dream of literacy. Books are first come first served. Refreshments provided.

Spark a Reaction Summer Reading 

Students entering grades 6-12. Read anything you like, and win cool prizes, including free food, passes to local attractions and gift cards. The more you read, the more you can win. There will be bi-weekly drawings, Grand Prize drawings and rewards for reaching your reading goals.

Marshmallow Building Challenge (ages 12 and older)

Saturday, June 28 at 1 p.m.

Can you make the tallest structure out of spaghetti, marshmallows and tape? 

Prizes awarded to the first, second and third place winners.
