Mock Caldecott Week January 4-9
The Caldecott Medal is awarded every year by the American Library Association to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children. Stop by the children's area to take a look at some contenders and cast your vote for the one you think is the best before the winner is announced on January 11th.

It's National Bird Day! Show the birds you care by making a bird feeder to hang in a tree at home.
Afterschool Cool: Stories and a Craft (ages 4-11)
Tuesday, January 12 at 4 p.m.
Join us for great stories and a craft for school-age children. Today's activities will center around the book I Can Make a Difference by Marian Wright Edelman.
Afterschool Cool: Green Thumbs (ages 4-11)

Learn about nature and make something cool with the Tri-County Clemson Master Gardeners.
Afterschool Cool: Life-Size Candy Land
Tuesday, January 26 at 4 p.m.
Our program room will be transformed into a life-size Candy Land game board with YOU as the game piece! Play with your family or come with a friend to see who will win.
PLAY: Lowes: Build and Grow (ages 4-11)
Saturday, January 9 at 11a.m.
Get out your tools and build something cool. Sponsored by Lowe’s, supplies are limited.
PLAY: Superhero Academy (ages 4-11)
Saturday, January 16 at 11 a.m.
Do you have what it takes? Test your strength and ability in our superhero challenges. Complete them all and earn a Superhero Academy graduation certificate.
PLAY: STAR Therapy Dogs (ages 11 and younger)
Saturday, January 23 at 11 a.m.
Make a furry friend and read a book with your new pal! Certified therapy dogs and their handlers love a good story.
PLAY: Bingo (ages 4-11)
Saturday, January 30 at 11 a.m.
Come play a few rounds of bingo with us. Small prizes awarded.
