Invent a Holiday for August
All month long
Teens invent a holiday for the month of August. Place your entries in the Invent a Holiday display. Each week a holiday will be picked and the inventor wins a prize.

Thursday, August 2 @ 4pm Ages 12-17 Want to play against your friends or librarians? Visit your St. Andrews Library and play board games against your friends and the librarian!








St. Andrews Library TeenSpot Theater presents “Red Tails”
Monday, August 6 at 5:00pm
A crew of African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program, having faced segregation while kept mostly on the ground during World War II, are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard. Rated PG-13; 125 mins. Refreshments will be provided.



St. Andrews Library TeenSpot Theater presents “Level Up”
Monday, August 13 at 5:00pm
Four very different high school teenagers battle trolls, ghouls and a dark leader of them named Maldark in a video game that goes haywire and releases the battle into the real world. Rated PG; 90mins. Refreshments will be provided.

St. Andrews Library TeenSpot Theater presents “Captain America: The First Avenger”
Monday, August 27 at 5:00pm
After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending the USA's ideals. Rated PG-13; 124mins. Refreshments will be provided.

Monday, June 4 at 5:00pm
A preacher's daughter, Amara, sings in the church choir before being discovered by a well-established musician. Soon she rises to international fame as a pop singer. Rated PG; 100 mins. Refreshments will be provided.

Tuesdays June 5, 12, 19, and 26, 3:00pm
Unscramble the letters to find out the mystery book and win a sweet treat. Win a bonus treat if you can name the author of the book.

Wednesday, June 27 at 5:00pm
Are you Team Werewolves or Team Vampires? Join us in a game for the survival of the finish. Refreshments will be served.





This summer, read something - a book, magazine, newspaper, graphic novel, website: ANYTHING! Then, stop by any branch of the Charleston County Public Library. Fill out an entry form and drop it in the prize box or enter online beginning June 1st. You will automatically be entered into that week's prize drawing.
